About :

"Suriyothai" is a historical movie depicting the heroism of a queen from the kingdom of Ayothaya who sacrifices her life in battle. Her name appears in the royal chronicles as "Phra Suriyothai."

Set in 16th century Thailand over the course of 57 years (1491-1548), this is an epic tale and political history of the Kingdom of Ayothaya, culminating in the story of Queen Phra Suriyothai (Bhirombhakdi), who rode into battle against the Burmese invasion to protect her husband at the Battle of Hantawaddy in 1548.

เรื่องราว ณ อาณาจักรกรุงอโยธยาซึ่งมีการผลัดเปลี่ยนแย่งชิงราชบัลลังก์เกิดขึ้นในช่วงรัชสมัย พร้อมทั้งต้องเผชิญศึกกับประเทศพม่าอีกด้วย โดยเน้นนำเสนอถึงวีรเกียรติความหาญกล้าของวีรสตรีไทย นาม "พระศรีสุริโยไท" เมื่อสมเด็จพระรามาธิบดีที่ ๒ (พิศาล อัครเศรณี) สิ้นพระชนม์ในปี พ.ศ. ๒๐๗๒ (ค.ศ. ๑๕๒๙) ซึ่งเป็นปีที่ดาวหางฮัลเลย์ปรากฏ พระอาทิตยาจึงได้ขึ้นครองราชย์ ทรงพระนาม หน่อพุทธางกูร ทุกพระองค์เสด็จย้ายจากพิษณุโลกไปประทับ ณ กรุงศรีอยุยาเมืองหลวง พระเฑียรราชา (รับบทวัยหนุ่มโดย ศรัณยู วงศ์กระจ่าง) และ พระสุริโยไท (รับบทวัยสาวโดย คุณหญิง ม.ล. ปิยาภัสร์ ภิรมย์ภักดี) มีโอรสธิดาทั้งสิ้น ๕ พระองค์ คือ พระราเมศวร (เกียรติศักดิ์ ศักดานุภาพ), พระมหินทร (อภิญญ์ รัชตะหิรัญ), พระบรมดิลก (ชมพูนุท เศวตวงศ์), พระสวัสดิราช (พิมลรัตน์ พิศลยบุตร) และ พระเทพกษัตรี (จีระนันท์ กิจประสาน) ประทับอยู่ ณ วังชัย ดำรงอิสริยยศเป็นพระเยาวราช

This historical movie shows what went on behind the kingdom walls, so trifling. And what a true queen will do for her husband and the crown, that's a true queen!
