Story :

The story of a young man named Kham (Tony Jaa) whose life is turned upside down when an international mafia syndicate, based in Australia, captures his two beloved elephants and smuggles them thousands of kilometers away to Sydney . The two elephants are far more than mere animals to Kham and his father. They are part of his family and were being prepared to be presented as a token of devotion to his Majesty the King of Thailand. The only way Kham can possibly save the animals is by venturing into a foreign land for the first time.

Traditional Thai Martial Arts

Excellant old style traditional Thai Martial Arts and an opponent well versed in Capoeira. Don't let the high level kicks and jumps obscure other Martial Arts techniques. Some of these are unique to Thai Boxing, others are the same as Traditional Chinese Martial Arts.

This style of Thai Boxing, is not taught much in the United States, nor to foreigners. Surprise low-key guest appearance of Jackie Chan at the airport, illustrates the commonality with traditional Kung Fu.

The Thai styles taught in the U.S. are more geared to kickboxing, and have had their orignal flavor colored by exposure to American boxers. It is probably fitting that this Americanized style has an overlap with the non-traditional Jeet Kune Do crowd, which is also heavily western influenced.

Excellent movie. I'd say better than Ong Bak. Capoeira scene was incredible. Ja kicks some serious butt.
